WHAT IS 6G?
The official 6-hole standard round of golf, certified 6G Links built into existing 18-, 27-, and 36-hole courses, governed by the World Golfing Federation.
A par round is roughly 24 strokes, played in 80 minutes. Every certified course can host one to six 6G Links, each a uniquely named six-hole segment with its own par, handicap rating, and official 6G scorecard. No new land, no construction: most changes are operational. It's golf, just faster, and smarter for millions.
SEE IT
See it on the map: shorter 6-hole courses, hidden inside the 18.
Here is one real 18, the Ryder Course at PGA Golf Club. It already contains six different certified 6G Links, each a named six-hole route through the same ground, each with its own par and its own official scorecard. A Link does not even have to be six holes in a row.
SIX 6G LINKS · ONE RYDER COURSE · EACH LIT UP ON THE FULL FACILITY
Each card is the same full Ryder Course. The holes that light up are that Link; the shaded holes are the rest of the facility, resting and ready for the next round. That is how a single 18, 27, or 36-hole property quietly holds five or six complete, official courses, a hidden gem most golfers never notice.
ONE LINK UP CLOSE · THE BOOMERANG · OFFICIAL WGF SCORECARD · PAR 24
Look at the routing: The Boomerang plays holes 1, 2 and 3, then jumps to 16, 17 and 18, a complete, official six-hole round that never needs the middle of the course.
DIFFERENT LINKS · DIFFERENT SIX HOLES · SAME 18
One fixed plant. Multiple official rounds.
How many Links a course yields is site-specific, set by a certified 6G design that weighs accessibility, layout, and the full criteria detailed in the 6G Manual. Below is one example set routed inside a single 18-hole course.

THE BUSINESS CASE
A fixed plant. A new traffic pattern.
A golf course is a fixed plant that sits empty most of the day. 6G is a new traffic pattern through that same ground: each 18 already contains several 6-hole segments, and every certified Link is new, sellable, official tee-time inventory. The more rounds you push through the plant, the more revenue it produces, and 6G opens up golf where no official golf existed before.
More per hole.
Less per round.
A 6G round is priced higher per hole than 18-hole golf, yet the golfer pays less for the round and plays more often. The course captures more revenue per hole on the same ground: players spend less, play more, and the plant earns more.
WHO 6G IS FOR
One official round. Three reasons it matters.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF COMPETITION
Not a shorter 18. A different sport entirely.
Comparing a 6G round to an 18-hole round is like comparing the 100-meter dash to a cross-country run. Same sport, completely different competition. There's no cruising through the middle holes, no playing it safe and making it up later. Every one of the six holes carries the weight of three. 6G rewards aggression, sharp decisions, and total focus from the first tee.
18-HOLE GOLF
The cross-country run.
Pace yourself. A bad hole gets absorbed over seventeen more. Time to think, recover, and play conservatively when it counts.
6G GOLF
The 100-meter dash.
No lay-ups, no cruising. Every shot is magnified. It's a more aggressive, more urgent, more intense 80 minutes: a genuinely different competitive feel for friends, foursomes, and any group looking for a real official game.
A NEW CULTURE
New attire. New gear. A whole new attitude.
6G isn't just a faster format. It's the start of its own culture on the course. With no restrictions on club design, equipment makers have room to innovate specifically for the 6G game. Expect its own look, its own gear, and its own energy in the Pro Shop.
The Flag Flies
Certified courses fly the 6G flag at the Pro Shop and on course, a visible mark that this facility plays the official round.
Gear Built for 6G
New attire, new logos, and new equipment innovation are already taking shape, built specifically for the pace and feel of the 80-minute round.
A Different Energy
More urgency, more focus, more intensity on every shot: a new attitude for players and Pro Shops alike.
FOR THE PURISTS
6G doesn't shrink golf. It modernizes it, without losing its soul.
Every serious golfer has heard a "faster golf" pitch before and dismissed it. Fair. Here's a straight answer to the questions that actually matter to a club or a course considering 6G.
"Won't this back up our 18-hole players?"
6G Links use certified traffic-flow protocols and multiple entry points designed specifically to avoid the 1st-tee pileup problem. It's built to run alongside 18-hole traffic, not through it.
"Will it cheapen our membership or reputation?"
6G is a certified, officially handicapped round governed by a national federation, not a casual add-on. Real scorecards, real rules, real ranking. It carries the same seriousness as the round you already play.
"Isn't this just another fad?"
Fads don't come with a governing body, a rulebook, and a certification standard. 6G is the first new format of golf introduced in over a century, built to last as an official complement to the game, not a novelty product with a shelf life.
"Our 18-hole product is already great. Why change?"
Nothing about your 18 changes. 6G doesn't replace it. It fills the hours your course already sits empty: early mornings, lunch breaks, twilight. It's not about replacing the old. It's about expanding what's possible.
THE 6G MANUAL
The next evolution of golf, in one playbook.
The official manual lays out the rules, the certification standard, and the operating program: how Links are mapped and approved, how the 6G handicap works, and how a course brings the format online without moving a yard of earth. 6G Golf Design maps up to six optimal Links on your course and submits them to the
for approval.

THE RULEBOOK
The Six Rules of 6G Golf.
Six rules govern every certified 6G round, built to keep the game simple, fair, and fast, while every other rule of golf defaults to the local course.
01
No Out of Bounds
Out-of-bounds and lost balls are treated as lateral hazards. Drop along the line of play with a one-stroke penalty.
02
Winter Rules Always Apply
Lift, clean, and place anytime your ball lies in the fairway. All other lies are played as they lie.
03
12-Club Bag
Twelve clubs max, in a bag labeled with the 6G logo, so 6G equipment never gets mixed into an 18-hole round.
04
Every Bunker Is a Waste Bunker
Ground your club without penalty. Intentionally testing sand conditions costs one stroke.
05
Local Rules Govern the Rest
Beyond rules 1–4, the host course's own rules and etiquette apply.
06
Official Handicap Required
Every round is posted through the WGF 6G Handicap System, via the Pro Shop or the 6G App, for fair, ranked competition.
CERTIFICATION
How a course and its Head Pro get certified.
Certification is a mark of operational excellence, not a franchise fee. Every enrolled facility works directly with the WGF and 6G Golf Design through a defined process.
FOR THE COURSE
✓6G Golf Design (or an authorized WGF partner) maps up to six optimal Links on your existing layout.
✓Recommended signage, pathways, and traffic-flow protocols are submitted to the WGF for review.
✓Changes are typically operational, not structural: no new land, no construction.
✓Once approved, the WGF issues official 6G scorecards for each certified Link.
FOR THE HEAD GOLF PRO
✓Every certified facility keeps at least one WGF Certified 6G Head Golf Pro on staff.
✓Operational qualification: sponsored by a participating course, or prior Pro Shop experience approved by the WGF.
✓Playing requirement: demonstrated on-course proficiency, scoring par or better on a designated 6G Link.

BRING 6G TO YOUR COURSE
The Links are
already there.
Official 6G Links already exist within your 18-, 27-, or 36-hole course. A certified 6G design determines how many satisfy the criteria, then maps, certifies, and equips each one, complete with an official 6G Certified Scorecard for every approved Link, turnkey and governed by the World Golfing Federation.
Behind the certification
6G Golf and the WGF grew out of four decades of golf course design, construction, and course operations, the same practical, on-the-ground experience behind Top-100 caliber courses across the country.
